It's been a very exciting week for the shop as our famous Beef and Ale Pie and Garry's amazing sirloin steaks have both been awarded Great Taste awards!
A huge thanks and congratulations to Annie, our chef, for a well deserved three star award for her Beef and Ale pie recipe. This is an incredible achievement as this accolade is reserved for the top 2% of entries (this year totalling 12,000)! One judge even commented that ours was “the best pie [they] tasted this awards season.”
This award is especially meaningful to the team as our pies are full to the brim with our own beef from the farm - demonstrating the high quality of our produce! It is an honour to have this recognised by such a prestigious award, with judges commenting specifically on the tenderness and succulence of the meat.
Congratulations also go to our butcher Garry for being awarded a star for his 50-Day Dry-Aged Sirloin Steak. No wonder we've been building such a reputation for our steaks!
It has been wonderful to hear all of this positive feedback and to have the accolades to back-up our praise for our products and to prove it is just as good as we say it is!

We try to have some pies either in the fridge or the freezer at all times but if you want to make sure you beat the rush it's always best to order a couple of days ahead so we can be sure to have some fresh and put aside for you!
